# Integrations and Apps
Integrations expand the capabilities of Virtuoso, allowing better communication between it and your organization's internal tools, and opening the possibility to automate all sorts of repetitive tasks.
These may include publicly available services or your own organization's custom-made ones.
Through integrations, your organization may, for example, send a message through Slack when the execution finishes, or build custom flows against Virtuoso events.
Apps and Integrations
You can find both these names on the current documentation. When using the API Integrations
is the name used, while through our web interface you will see Apps
widely used.
In the next sections you will learn how to:
- Install and configure existing integrations;
- Build a new integration tailored to your organization's needs;
- Augment the Virtuoso interface using your Virtuoso Integration and Dynamic Forms.
