This document tracks features that have been deprecated or removed from Virtuoso, along with the date and any replacement.

# Data-attribute links on steps

Deprecated: 2026-09
Replaced by: Explicit references — see Steps linked to a data attribute
Notes: The legacy link between a step and a data-table attribute, which overrode the step's value at run time, is being removed. The link is cleared automatically once a step goes unused for an extended period, after which the step falls back to the text shown in it — so affected steps should be re-authored to reference the value explicitly before then. Affected journeys show a banner in the editor and mark each affected step with a warning icon, pointing to the guide.
